At just 16 years old show jumping rider Charlotte Laguide has chosen to leave the comfort of his family's stables to experience experience abroad and discover new methods, cultures and perspectives. In this article, discover the inspiring story of this young enthusiast.

Born into a farming family, Charlotte is fortunate to have grown up in the Domaine de Layea structure dedicated to horse breeding, created in 2000 in Taponas, in the Rhône region. It was in this setting that his passion for horses and began her career in the equestrian world.
One of the highlights of his young career was his encounter with Opaline VD Bisschop, a highly competitive mare. Thanks to this mare, Charlotte has excelled on the circuit. amateur gold tourwhich has enabled him to climb many podiums and to shine at the French AS championships in 2021where she won a silver medal in the minimes category.

"I take advantage of the month of July to go abroad to see other systems, and it was to Daniel Etter's stables in Switzerland that I chose to go this year. Having had an excellent time here, I then decided to stay for an indefinite period, which will allow me to soak up, hear and see different methods."
Charlotte has no fear of the unknown, and her determination to learn and grow her guide. So far, she has no language difficulties, and the warm welcome she has received in Switzerland has boosted her confidence.
"I'm happy and fulfilled in this choice, foreignness doesn't worry me, for the moment I don't have any difficulties with the language... the welcome has been perfect so I feel good."
